Have you ever visited the North of Norway? If you have, then you would have been undoubtedly touched by its magnificent landscapes. A Myriad of artists and tourists have driven hundred of miles to experience the adventures that this country has to offer. During the winter periods of constant darkness we, the natives, patiently await the endless sunny summer. For the past seventeen years I have been working as a teacher in the Campschool at "Knutmarka Leirskole" in Svolvaer. Whilst here I have been privilleged enough to express what I love most. Together with the children, we embark on endless walks, peaceful fishing, canooing, bow and arrrow adventures, football games, mountain climbing and the exploration of hidden caves.
Ever since I started working for Knutmarka Leirskole I have been accompanied by my black, spotted, four legged buddies. Until this day I am not entirely sure whether the Dalmatians are white and have black spots, or are black and have white spots on them? In the Autumn of 1982 I was acquainted with a charming Dalmatian named Bianca , who later became the first international dalmatian champion from Northern Norway. It was through Bianca that I realised that my love towards Dalmatians had started to grow. Since then several dalmatians have succeeded her. During the last 20 years more than 200 puppies have left their birthplace in Svolvaer to go to their new owners all over the country - and abroad. I´m happy to know that I have maintained good contacts and relationship with many new friends throughout these years. I owe you a lot for the kindness, love and devotion you express to all of the dogs. | Five Dalmatians |
